Ways to Find the Best Limo Rates

There are many things that will determine what one’s limo rates will be. Typically with most companies there are fee schedules for things such as weekends and airport transfers.

These will start at a base rate and will be inclusive usually of just a one way fare. This means that if a customer needs to make additional stops to or from the airport or during the rental on the weekends, there may be other fees attached to the bill.

Many will also include different fee schedules which will be based on what type of vehicle that is selected. These limo rates will vary accordingly. A customer will be able to choose from a number of vehicles, each with their own pricing guidelines, including but not limited to:

• Town Car Sedans

• Luxury Suburban

• Ultra Super Stretch Limousines

• Passenger Vans

• Stretch Excursion Limousines

• Stretch Hummer Limousines

• Limo Buses

• Shuttle Buses

• Motor Coach Buses

Once the customer has chosen the vehicle that they would like to arrange for transportation in, they will then find out what packages are available concerning limo rates.

For example, if hiring one for a wedding or other type of outing, it will usually have a four hour limit, and if that is exceeded there will be additional charges.

If opting for one of the buses or larger vehicles such as a van, it is possible that the package will come with an additional hour of service before any extra fees become due.

Also included in the limo rates will more than likely be a 15 percent or more surcharge. This is to cover taxes and fuel.

There may be other fees attached if the customer requires special amenities such as a cell phone or if the company has to pay for parking at any given stop.

All of these fees will be added to the bill prior to receiving it. If the customer requires service in the specialized hours of the morning such as from midnight to five a.m. then they may find that there are additional charges for this service as well.

If a chauffeur will be required to wait at any given point, the fees will continue to compound even if no one is occupying the vehicle. This is usually billed in increments of fifteen minutes and will be charged at the rate of one fourth of the given fee. This allows for billing in the event that a wait time is less than one hour.

A customer will also find that limo rates will come with a stipulation attached for cancellations. It is good to ask what the percentage of the rate will be upon cancellation of the service and how much time in advance one must notify the company that they will be cancelling. In most cases, the customer will be responsible for about twenty percent of the quoted rate for the period that they had previously hired the car.

The best idea is to call ahead and inquire about the packages that are offered and discuss with a representative what the customer’s needs are so they can be perfectly matched with the right vehicle and the right fee schedule.
